About a year ago there was a discussion started by a fellow who was
considering giving up his lucrative IA job to go back to school and get a
Masters Degree in HCI. I'd like to ask his question again...
How valuable is a Masters in HCI vs. real world experience? And by valuable
I mean a couple things: 1.) ability to get hired in top companies, 2.)
exposure to new techniques and ideas that you might not otherwise
experience.
I'd also like to hear from folks who've attended the Masters program at
Carnegie Mellon. Was it worth the ~$40K?
