IAs as charlatans (was RE: [Sigia-l] Findability isn't dead, Long live ummm... Meaning?)

I don't know about Jesse's intention. But the above suggestion further
bastardizes IA as if the current bastardization is not bad enough.

It is like people who want to be called Information Architects but
without changing what they do. So they say, "The IA definition should
be broader to include what we are doing." It reminds me of charlatans.

The current bastardization has already caused some people to consider
dropping their IA title. Wearing a much bastardized title makes a
person seems like a joker. 

Further bastardization will cause more people to see Information
Architects as charlatans.
