It's definitely interesting - which of course is a neutral assessment :)
I won't speculate on causes for this broadly, but I will offer my own experience for consideration: I am simply incredibly busy. I would relish spending more time contributing to the valuable discussions this community offers, but my list of projects is simply too large to permit me the opportunity at the moment. That I even read much of the traffic on this list is a very carefully considered investment of time and energy.
