communities are about sharing not about greed and information hoarding.
the whole idea of paying for membership to be a part of something that we
have all participated in for free for years now is absurd. when a few
well-known information architects get a 'big entrepreneurial idea'; let's
sell our 'knowledge' to other practitioners. that's just shite.
it reveals the founders allegiance to corporate models and values. i
prefer keeping this community open source and using free communication
channels like this list and other resources that share information freely.
