Since I don't think you'll claim yourself a "registered architect" the issue
is whether an appellation of "information architect" means you're illegally
practicing what the board defines "architecture", no?

Does the board define (elsewhere) what an "architect" is?

If you were to call yourself an "information architect" who would object?
The landscape architect? On what basis? That you're misrepresenting what you
do? Or that some customer who needs landscape architecture might
accidentally hire you? You are not calling yourself an "architect" so what's
the problem? Can an Ohio citizen who is, say, a corporate team building
coach call himself "Team Architect" on his business card?

Even two companies can share a trademark if their goods/services are
sufficiently differentiated. Facetious as these may be, I'd love to know if
Ohio or anywhere else has any actual precedents for this sort of inane
regulation. Has any DJ who calls himself "Dr. of Love" ever been pursued by
the AMA?

(Having said this, I wouldn't mind if those tree cutters in Ohio or
engineers elsewhere went after people who call themselves "usability
engineers". :-)
