Here is the code that the Landscaping Architect Board
is referring to:

----------------------------------
§ 4703.06 Certificate to practice; title.

Any person shall, before engaging in the practice of
architecture or before being styled or known as an
architect, secure from the state board of examiners of
architects a certificate of his qualifications to
practice under the title of "architect," and be
registered with the board.

Any person holding such certificate and being
registered pursuant to sections 4703.01 to 4703.19 of
the Revised Code may be styled or known as an
architect or as a registered architect.

No other person shall assume such title or use any
abbreviation, or any words, letters, or figures, to
indicate or imply that he is an architect or
registered architect.

HISTORY: GC § 1334-5; 114 v 521, § 6; Bureau of Code
Revision, 10-1-53; 143 v S 110. Eff 6-13-90.

then do a search on "practice of architecture".
-------------------

Hypocritically enough, § 4703 which contains the laws
concerning architects was expanded in July 2002 to
include these landscape architect. The original
version written in 1973 did not allow landscape
architects to use the title "architect" without
approval by the Board. I think that this is pretty low
of them to finally get legally in the books and then
turn around and point fingers at others using the
title. After all, they were on our side of the fence
just a short year ago.
