Not that all vendor-supplied metadata should be dismissed ... a great deal,
if not virtually all, of the descriptive meta data to be found at iTunes is
vendor supplied. Why isn't that gamed? A vendor, with some crap tunes in an
obscure genre (folk polkas?) could state they are hip-hop tunes or some
other more popular genre.

Yet they don't.

Why?
