[Sigia-l] Designing Scent (deception from the real)

'Scent' as 'design' will only necessarily lead to confusion simply
because confusion proceeds from the fact that the mind knows only in
part a thing which is whole (deception).

Best practice is achieved by *presentation* (that is whole, holism), and
NOT by reference (reductionism, sum of parts).

Presentation is *derived* from some *particular affirmative identity*
(true nature), or, from a true and legitimate definition. We may never
conclude anything from abstractions (too diffuse).

[ Note: Abstraction is necessary to classification, by which things are
arranged in genera and species. We separate *in idea* the qualities of
certain objects, which are of the same kind, from others which are
different, in each, and arrange the objects having the same properties
in a class, or collected body. Abstraction is no positive act: it is
simply the negative of attention. (i.e. it removes individuality from
objects (the real) ~ contrary to definition and therefore akin to
confusion) ]

'Scent' provides us with nothing but *extrinsic denomination,*
relations, or, at best, with circumstances -- all of which are far
removed (circumcised/bent) away from original concern. In short, this is
*Marketing* and not *Information Architecture.* This is very clear to
all who have eyes to see.

That said, I have no problem with Marketing, described as such.

to define something (architecture), the thing itself must explain its
essence, and avoid the use of certain properties in its place -- that is
to say every definition must be affirmative

when a thing's definition is given (architecture) there must remain no
room for the question "Does it exist?" -- that is it cannot be explained
through any abstractions
