UI Specialist
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Blackboard is seeking a UI Specialist to help design future releases of
Blackboard to work out of our Phoenix Arizona office.  The User
Interface Specialist will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and
documenting user interface specifications for our e-Education suite with
a particular focus on our Web-based Transaction System used by faculty,
students, and administrators around the world.  This position is a great
opportunity to work with a small team and to have a significant impact
on end users. 

The primary areas of responsibility for this position are:
. Solving complicated workflow issues for new features
. Producing high-quality front end code (HTML, CSS, some JavaScript)
. Acting as a user advocate throughout the entire Engineering lifecycle

Qualifications:
. Excellent HTML, CSS, and JavaScript skills 
. Previous website development experience
. At least 2 years experience working on user interface design teams
. 2 years experience in project planning or project management roles is
preferable
. Experience with the user perspective in software design and ability to
design solutions for usability issues 
. Experience with complicated workflow definition 
. Thorough understanding of new media tools and processes 
. Bachelor's degree
