Because my name and the title of my presentation is the moniker of this
thread, I feel obligated to point out that I am not planning to discuss any
of the issues we're talking about in this thread during my talk on
Thursday. (Instead, as Christina correctly pointed out, I'll be discussing
how content meets the challenge of assisting with wayfinding.)

That being said, I do know of some great resources for folks who are
interested in this current line of discussion.

As Marybeth pointed out, Andrew Chak has done a great job here. His very
nice book, Submit Now: Designing Persuasive Websites, has lots of great
content. You can find it at Amazon or from other fine booksellers.

I was so impressed by Andrew's work in this area that I invited him to be a
speaker at the User Interface Conference. You can catch his top-rated
session at the User Interface 7 West conference in March. You can find more
details at http://www.uiconf.com.

Also, our own Christine Perfetti is just putting the finishing touches on
an article on using the work of Cialdini in designing sites. We'll be
publishing it our free UIEtips newsletter a little later this month. (This
happens to be the subject of Christine's Masters work at Brown, so she is
really up to speed on the issues.) You can sign up for UIEtips at
http://www.uie.com.

Has any of this been persuasive?

;-)

Jared
