Malls are designed to confuse, so that we buy to comfort ourselves (so Jesse
explained to me one day, to my everlasting horror). We are pushed pulled and
otherwise cajoled all day long, from commercials, billboards and spam. We
are also led by signs, roads and traffic signals.

As IA's we will each get to choose if we are urban planners, funhouse
creators (designed to confound for pleasure) or mall designers. And we each
get to live with our actions.

But to think people are not led is ridiculous-- each link, each label each
design choice leads or confounds.
