If you do screenshots of web pages to custom sizes or wanted to see how a
page would look at certain dimensions, there's a nifty little utility called
SmallScreenX.

In addition to putting over your monitor a floating, transparent window
border of a dimension you can customize, it can uniquely size another
application's (like a web browser) chosen window to an exact dimension. Very
handy for documentation work (on Mac OS X) and free to boot:
