Personally with services such as Blogger.com I think it's extremely easy
for a non-techie to get up and running. It amazes me the number of
people I've found who are Bloggers and all they really know about when
it comes to the net is web surfing and e-mail. 

On the other hand I would agree that the majority of Bloggers are
techies. It seems to be the "norm" if there is one.
