That's a very funny conclusion-- the point of the "LIS" people is to make
sure the data that will inform you is findable by you so that it can blossom
into information before your hungry eyes. It is very much part of movement
from data to knowledge (though not the entirety, of course)

Sorry, but I don't remember your point from four years ago, and I'm not
completely sure I understand it now, nor from the blog entry you wrote. You
may have to spell it out, using small words. I'm delicate this morning.
