Marketing Specialist / User Experience Analyst for the Banking and Financial
Services eMarketing Team  

The User Experience Analyst is responsible for designing and executing
usability studies for the wamu.com web site.  The analyst works with a
project coordinator and internal business partners to deliver insightful
usability findings and recommendations for user interface improvements.  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 
	*	Responsible for recruitment profile, screener, test design
strategy, study documentation and execution.  Must provide final analysis
complete with interface design recommendations. 
	*	Build knowledge base of user interface research, trends,
practices and techniques.  Strong understanding of user interface design
practices and principles a must.   
	*	Identify usability defects based on heuristic and
statistical analyses. 
	*	Present findings to project teams and other internal
business partners.  Write concise reports under tight deadlines. 
	*	Work with web design team members to recommend improvements
to architecture, site navigation, labels and other design elements. 
	*	Research and define target audience groups and profile user
traits, characteristics, motivations, etc. 
	*	Effectively manage multiple projects under tight time
frames. 
	*	Understand project goals and design requirements by
interpreting project documentation, participating in project meetings,
working with project managers and interviewing clients. 
	*	Other projects and responsibilities as required.  

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: 
	*	3+ years directly related experience of increasing
responsibility. ("Related" includes: usability research, interactive design,
information architecture, market research).   
	*	Demonstrated experience relating to Internet user experience
research required.   
	*	M.A. in human computer interaction, cognitive psychology or
related field desired. Equivalent experience accepted. 
	*	Extensive knowledge of user experience research tools and
techniques (e.g. field research, heuristic reviews, benchmarking, card
sorts, lo-fidelity prototyping methods, etc). 
	*	Solid experience with Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat, Visio, MS
PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Excel and MS Project. 
	*	Experience with HTML web site design. 
	*	Strong communication, critical thinking and creative
problem-solving skills required.  

	Ability to demonstrate success in these areas preferred.   
	*	Ability to communicate research results, methods and
approaches, orally and in writing. 
	*	Strong writing, verbal, presentation and moderator skills.
Strong techniques and methods for group facilitation and consensus building.

	*	Ability to work independently, in a team, and with or
without direction.
