I don't know the version, but it's the latest one.

As for optimization, how flexibly are the search results? Will it be
difficult to change the presentation? Also, I'm trying to pull together a
taxonomy and thesaurus. I haven't found much literature on these features.
I'll say know, our technology group hasn't been very forthcoming with
information. I'm working on that, but in the meantime and resources you can
recommend will be hugely appreciated.

I have worked pretty extensively with SharePoint. There are several ways
to optimize the search.  Which version are you working with? How are you
