[Sigia-l] We could just use whiteboards instead.

Fair question,
The next step requires the appropriate documents to be created. With the
white board you can quickly get through to a signed off point if you use a
war room (a room set aside where everyone can work together and discuss
things).
I'm a great believer in 'one version of the truth' - and the white board
can do this. It's far from appropriate for many projects that require
remote people to view the process but when you have all the team members in
one place - it really works well. It depends what 'workflow' you are using.
I usually go on to convert the resulting site map into electronic form and
then go on to create wireframes in flash/dreamweaver/visio and a content
matrix in excel as well as other supporting documents as required, such as
user specifications. Having said that whiteboards are also very useful for
thrashing out wireframes :)
