It depends on what you mean with "method".

If you're talking about applying the tool and techniques that Adobe
Illustrator supply, the answer is "no, I haven't".

If you're talking about using isometric projections, the answer is "yes,
it's been done before, just not by me". In Richard Saul Wurman's book
"Information Architects" (ASIN:1888001380) you'll see a series of
interactive systems explained using this type of diagramming. I think it's
called z-diagrams (see also: http://mappa.mundi.net/maps/maps_006/).
