Despite the warm invitation by Beau, I will respond to his comment:

I do agree that we are ill defined in our organizatio and structure, but
basically the role we are talking about has to be done regardless of who in
the organization claims to be doing it. IA, Interaction Designer, Business
Analyst, System Architect, etc. The requirement to build a user interface
and design specify it so that others can follow that design is there
regardless.

I do think that Ziya did make an interesting point about how 80% of Visio's
market is not for us, so why would someone like Adobe or Macromedia enter a
marketspace so small.

I do think the MS is the excuse for stagnation argument is getting old.

BTW, there is an option out there that was mentioned on this list that I
really like as a Visio substitute, but they aren't exactly what I need
either, but at least they aren't MS and they are trying. That is
Norpath.com.
