Agreed.  Many shops use it, some don't.  I've put wireframes together in
Powerpoint.  I certainly don't recommend it though.

What is it called then when something becomes so ubiquitous that it is
an assumed skill when applying for an IA position? It isn't ISO
endursed, so yes, it is not a standard per se, but  to the point where
those that don't use it, know that they are NOT using it.

Other such "standards" would include windows, ie, office, photoshop (had
to get one in there that wasn't MS)

Just b/c you ain't using it doesn't mean it isn't a standard. ;-)
