[Sigia-l] Information mapping/chunking on the web

Hi: 
I thought the following might be of interest to some. Apologies if this
is somewhat "old hat" or known by many. I'm pretty much a lurker on this
list but am intrigued by many of the discussions. Hence my inability to
delete the 881 messages in my SIGIA mailbox without at least scanning
them!

Chunking on the Web

In one usability study by Kevin Larson and Mary Czerwinski, users found
information more easily when 16 menu options appeared on the main page
and 32 menu options appeared on the secondary menu pages. Content would
appear on the third level.
