[Sigia-l] DHTML Menus and Usability

Greetings -
There is a movement afoot to use DHTML menus for navigation and access to
functions on a site I am involved with. The site is a web application and
fairly complex. Most users are trained at one time or another. Users are
very focused on the task at hand when they are using this site. It has been
found that many do not see some of the options available, particularly those
in drop down menus.
DHTML is the leading option for the navigation (mostly secondary - this
comes after a search) and some functions. I'm looking for some information
about usability, any sites that are similar (application and task based)
that are good at this or really bad. I've found some, and there were a few
recent posts that were helpful (Seven tricks that web users don't know) but
I'm hoping for some more stuff.
And yes - I know we should be able to speak without backup, but this is the
real world :-)
thanks!
Katie
