Dear All,
I asked this question in the IA-CMS list today, and thought
that SIG_IA group may have some opinions as well. :)

As this is one of the hot topics in my office at the
moment, I'd like to ask a question that my tech guys posed
to me, and I looked at them at a loss.
How do you implement the semantic relationships in a
thesaurus within a relational database?
The only experience I have had with this was at yellow
pages in Australia, with no database - just a set of flat
files. Each term had a number and the relationships
(broader, narrower, related) were placed next to the term
with a code indicating it's relationship.
For example:
Restaurants 1234: RT Hotels 2345, cafes 3456, NT
Restaurants - Chinese 1235
Thanks,
Mags
