I saw the same thing with general consumer-type users...but they did tend
to look in the upper-left corner for the home link.
One of the more successful design patterns had a home page link (text or
graphic text) immediately below the logo, and sometimes slightly separated
from the rest of the menu if there was a horizontal menu.
I suppose you could incorporate the words directly into the logo graphic as
well.
