I hereby declare myself a wussie. Actually, I'm not sure how I would rapid
prototype an IA design. A user interface yes, but a big honkin' structure?
Not sure. Though I agree I'd rather keep the wireframes away from my
clients if I could.
Reminds me of the architecture metaphor: architects still stick blueprints
in our faces. Why not just rapid prototype the house? Cause it's a rather
large and expensive proposition, even in prototype format (although
Christopher Alexander developed some portable walls he could quickly
assemble to get the "feel" of a space, it's still on a limited scale).
Similarly, it's hard to quickly assemble hundreds or thousands of pages,
even in prototype format. I think in the future we'll have better tools
that facilitate this. So maybe we're not wussies, we're just using wussie
tools.
