3. We are happy to announce a three-course certificate option in
user-centered design! The certificate option starts this Winter
Quarter, January 2003. It offers a selected subset of our regular
master's curriculum for those who prefer a shorter, more focused
program of study.

Certificate title: Granduate Sequence in User-Centered Design

The courses that make up the sequence:

Winter Quarter: TC598, User-Centered Design Processes,
4 cr., taught by Prof. Jennifer Turns

Spring Quarter: Choose one of the following three courses:

TC 598, Advanced Web Site Design, 4 cr., taught by Suzanne Boyd, MA
TC511, Visual Communication, 5 cr., taught by Prof. Tom Williams
TC516, Research Methods, 4 cr., taught by Erin Schulz, MS

Autumn Quarter: TC517, Usability Testing, 4 cr. taught by Prof. Judy Ramey

All courses earn regular University of Washington academic credits.
Also, upon completion of the program, students will receive a
Certificate in User-Centered Design from UW Educational Outreach.
