Dear all and please excuse the cross-posting but the debate is timely...

The debate is part of spiked's INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY: PROSPECTS AND
BARRIERS programme.

Thanks, Martyn

Enormous claims are often made for usability, and for human-centred
design more broadly. These design principles, it is argued, are both
morally impeachable and good for business. But do they have negative
consequences as well as positive? And are there any limits to how far
these principles can and should be applied?
