Hello everyone,

First of all, sorry for the cross posting. I believe both lists are
interlinked and thus need the opinions of both list members. I would truly
appreciate you taking a few mins of your time to reply to my request. Thank
You.

My question is simply this:

Besides the core skill sets ( Usability testing, Interface design,
Information Architecture etc..), I would like to find out from the list
members, what other technology relates skills do you feel is necessary for
now and for near future, which the recruiters, hiring managers look for.

So far, I have gathered the following list: XML, ASP, an Understanding of
OO, .Net , C#, Relational database, SQL, Oracle, Photoshop, Flash. ( besides
the must have of HTML & Javascript)

The above list was created by looking at Job descriptions on various Job
boards. (Information Architect, UI Designer , etc..)

I would be grateful, if you could add to the list what your company or you
personally think is important and please state why you think it is
important.

This is for an article I am writing about the diverse skill sets needed by
people in this field.

Please reply to me and I will summarize for the list.

Thank You. Your help is much appreciated.

Jay Kumar
