AMC presents NetContent/Chicago's June meeting:
"Creating a Content Strategy and Selling it to Clients and Stakeholders"

Tuesday, June 25th, 6:00 to 8:30 pm

Content strategy is taking content one level up -- planning for
dynamic, compelling content that will keep people coming back to a
site.

* How do you create a content strategy that will live on
successfully, even after the consultants are gone?
* What's the difference between business strategy and content strategy?
* Where does content strategy end and information architecture begin?
* Who on a team creates a content strategy, and how can you create
one even if the client hasn't budgeted for a content strategist on
the team?
* How do you get buy-in from executives to create the people and time
needed to execute strategic content, day after day?

This month, we have two speakers who will address these issues:

Hilary Marsh, founder and president of Content Company, a Web content
consultancy. Content Company provides solutions for companies in
developing, managing and integrating Web content in order to connect more
closely with their customers, employees and vendors. The company's
clients include Fortune 200 corporations, major associations and
nonprofit organizations. Ms. Marsh's experience includes teaching at
the University of Chicago, e-business consulting for Sapient,
corporate communications for R.R. Donnelley & Sons Company, and
writing and editing for business and consumer audiences.

Molly Wright Steenson cut her teeth on the Web in 1994. Since then,
she's architected, managed and built over 60 sites for a variety of
companies, including Netscape, Reuters, Scient, Wrigley, and many
others. She speaks and writes frequently about content, user-centered
design, online community, and information architecture in the US and
Germany. Molly was the founder of Maxi, an award-winning website for
women, and is the principal of Girlwonder, Inc., a user-centered
design and content strategy studio.
