I'd find it hard to believe that making standard API calls to the native OS
for UI widget handling adds more to the player than carrying on with its own
GUI. Heck, even Java can do that with Swing2Aqua on OSX.

Come to think of it, maybe the next move is to have a single 'uber-GUI' by
NNG that abstracts over Aqua, Luna, Swing, Flash, etc. Think of all the
hush-money NNG could extract out of Apple, Microsoft, Sun, etc. :-)
