To improve matters, you can either innovate the way we search or eliminate
the need for it. While the latter is more difficult to accomplish, it also
has the greater impact, by far.
Like how? Take the whole notion of bookmarking. You can write a book about
bookmarking (you probably are doing that just now :-). Many trees and
electrons have been killed to deal with bookmarking efficiency, UI,
maintenance, utilities, etc. Nobody seems to be completely happy with the
bookmarking functionalities of any browser or app. Some people (like me)
literally have thousands, others can't be bothered with them, many find them
confusing and unmanageable, etc.
Now, imagine a search engine so efficient that you don't need bookmarks.
Same idea.
Best,
Ziya
