Just stumbled on interesting article in CIO on Digital Assets Management:
http://www.cio.com/archive/071502/et_article.html
I definitely see an interesting opportunity for IA's out there who have an
interest in digital assets management. I'm curious to hear if folks on this
lists are also involved in issues surrounding Digital Assets Management. I
have a couple questions:
1. What are some technologies you use to support it?(in-house, or off the
shelf)
If you do have an off the shelf is it bundled in with your enterprise
content management system or is it a stand-alone system.
2. How have you addressed permissions/access? Who drafted policies around
this?
3. What are some metadata standards you have used or considered?
4. If you have thought about it, and just starting to get a project started,
what are some marketing tactics you've used to get your company to invest in
digital assets management?
Thanks,
Lisa
