Like many a "good thing" that switches from the 
"for the good of the people" to the "for the increase of wealth"
principle I feel NN/g have blurred their edges in order to 
appease a still nascent market...

As I read somewhere they have told us all they can about usable
guidelines and now they need to say something else and are 
"branching out"...perhaps what we need is a sharper definition
of the overlaps between usability, experience and design...
as opposed to adding fun to usability...I mean, come on!

It's like painting the ironwork whilst building a new building...!
