Hi folks,

As many of you now, I work for Documentum (see sig below). Coming up in
September is our Annual user & partner conference. Information
Architects are seldom thought about in our processes, but probably have
the greatest take on how to make Enterprise Content Management most
effective and useful.

If there are any of you as either associated with system integrators, or
working directly with our customers are interested, I'd be interested in
listening to you all talk over lunch or something like that. Nothing
official or anything. Just think of it as your private moment with the
User Interface Designer of a product that you, your company or your
customers has to use.

What do you get out of it?
1. We are constantly making changes to existing products and creating
new product lines based on customer and partner requests. This would be
another seldom heard source for this information.
2. Possibly some of the problems you are having is b/c of lack of
intimacy with our tools and I might be able to give you some tips and
tricks for this.

I'm most interested in hearing from people who will be at the
conference, and in general from IAs who are working with Documentum. I
may even think about creating a discussion list (user group) from an IA
perspective if there is enough interest. I'm also more generally
interested in an IA/UI centric list discussing CMS systems, not just
Documentum. I'd be willing to set it up and manage the list if I get
enough interest in that as well.

If there is enough interest in this (per Christina's plea) I would also
consider suggesting, setting up and moderating a panel discussion at the
IA Summit regarding the CMS field from an IA perspective. Lou, are you
down for this?
