I guess my main problem is not having a hierarchy, every time I find
something new which does not fit into an existing directory I create a new
one...I knew this was a dead end solution, call it lazy ;-). Some of the
directories have subdirectories but mainly I there is a lot of breath not
depth.

I agree that the folder representation is easier to read but what it lacks
is the ability to show me related documents or categories.

The other thing I want to be able to do is rate my items, I have been
adding X's (X=ok to XXXXX=damn good) to filenames as an indication of
general usefulness (to me that is..) but I really wish to rate their
usefulness in relation to one ore more subjects.
