A quick update:

So far I've received a bunch of replies which have all been pretty much
from the mentoree side. I've not heard much at all from the mentor side.
There has been considerable interest though.

The key issue, I sense, is that mentorees don't quite know what they want
from a mentor, they only know it would be good ... which puts the mentor
in a difficult spot of having a heck of a lot being asked of them.
Mentoring, in our field, needs some ground rules and boundaries laid
down, just to make it possible for people to play the game.

I'd like to hear from someone who has been doing some mentoring, no
matter how informal or lightweight. Also, has any of the big
brother/sisters of our family been approached by potential mentorees?
Does your job description include "mentoring" as one of your
responsibilities?

Just for fun: name some IA's you'd like to see doing mentoring :-)

e.
