Subject: [Sig-l] ASIST Intro to IS book
Hello SIG officers and others who have expressed interest in the ASIST
collaborative book, Introduction to Information Science and Technology. In
case you haven't heard about this project, I've attached the proposal as
presented to SIG Cabinet last month (the outline is slightly modified from
that proposal).
The basic idea is that we'll produce an introductory book that presents
the best thinking of ASIST experts. We're counting on SIGs to identify
experts - these would be the contributors of draft chapters of people to
review and enhance draft submissions.
Please let me know your suggestions of authors for draft sections or
chapters. Suggestions for reviewers or other comments are also welcome. I
would greatly appreciate receiving your advice by Tuesday November 13.
many thanks,
ralf shaw
