[Sigdl-l] Extensive IR software eval?

Is anyone aware of a study (peer-reviewed or white paper) examining
the commercial and open source IR software options against a set of
preservation, metadata, access, and system features requirements?

I've been able to find specific case studies reviewing a few
institutional repository systems against specific needs, but I'd be
interested to know if there was a more comprehensive study out there.
