There's a very interesting workshop coming up later this week in 
Calgary dealing with cultural heritage materials and information 
technology, building on some of the thinking outlined in the US 
National Research Council's recent "Beyond Productivity" report. The 
workshop is being presented by the Canadian Department of Cultural 
Heritage, and has been organized by the Canadian Heritage Information 
Network (CHIN).

The workshop will also be webcast live and subsequently available for
