[Sig-l] Reminder: ASIS&T SIG Annual Reports/Awards deadlines

Hi all -

The deadlines for our annual SIG awards nominations are coming up soon!  
We need all nominations for SIG of the Year, SIG Member of the Year, and 
SIG Publication of the Year to be submitted by the end of the day August 
16th (aka, Monday).  I realize the website says the 15th is the deadline, 
but I prefer having these things due on a workday, so made an executive 
decision to move the deadline by one day. :) It's been great that for 
several years now we've had strong nominations for all three awards - I 
expect we'll easily keep that tradition up this year as well.

Please remember that the SIG Annual Report / SIG of the Year nomination 
form was streamlined in 2008.  It's posted on Google Docs at http://bit.ly/a2mlJf.  
When you submit your report, only the information requested by the form is 
required and will be evaluated.  I'm hoping it won't take you an onerous 
amount of time to complete the report!  We need reports from all SIGs, 
regardless of whether you are interested in running for SIG of the Year, as 
they help us with member development, internal reporting, and financial planning.  
SIGs that do not submit an annual report at least once every three years 
are in danger of losing their charter.
