These are SIG-III's ideas for programs for 2006

1)HIV/AIDS information seeking in developing countries
SIG Med, Social Informatics and USE are interested in co-sponsoring

2)Information seeking behavior in rural areas of developing countries
SIG USE and Social Informatics are interested in co-sponsoring.

3)Cultural perspectives on trust in information

4)Review of projects related to digitization of the cultural heritage
SIG DL may be interested in co-sponsoring.

5)Digital Divide: Shaping the digital future for all

6)Cross-national comparison of libraries and information services in a
developing world context (Kate Johnson, Maria Haigh, Kendra Albright).

7)Information services for children in a developing world context
USE will co-sponsor.

8)WSIS panel
SIG IFP will co-sponsor

9)Learning and education of international students in LIS programs (how LIS
education is translated into local context)
SIG ED – is interested in co-sponsoring.

10)Response to disasters
SIG KM and Social Informatics are interested in co-sponsoring
