The University of Minnesota's Office of Information Technology is set to
co-host "An Evening with Neil Gaiman," a live Internet event to kick off
National Library Week, scheduled for 6-8 p.m. (EDT) Monday, April 12.

Gaiman, the 2009 Newbery Medal winner and honorary chair of National

role they play in a democratic society. Gaiman will join a live audience
virtually from the University of Minnesota using high-definition
videoconferencing technology supported by Internet2. Virtual attendees
in up to 1,000 locations will have access to the live, high-definition
stream and the opportunity to participate in interactive conversation
with Gaiman.

Anyone interested in watching can join in the event live via UStream.tv.
A 1Mbps Internet connection and Flash player are required. Internet2
also will multicast the event on its national network enabling
multi-cast enabled members to broadcast the event to their campuses.
