[MNASIS-L] does anyone work with translators?

Hello!

I know this list seems to be used primarily for announcements - so I hope
folks won't mind a question. I am writing a grant to get a web site
translated into Spanish, Hmong, and Somali. (I know there are dialect issues
- but we're not that far yet.) The web site in question contains about 80
pages of static content and a backend database of about 25 fields. That is
the only portion we are worried about translating. (The web site is
BizPathways if you want to see http://www.bizpathways.org.)

The odds on getting the grant are not particularly high - so I don't want to
exert too much effort to write it - and subsequently don't want anyone of
you to exert a huge amount of effort to help, but...

Does anyone on this list work with translators or have a rule of thumb for
estimating translation costs? This is a nonprofit web site. Any ballpark
numbers would be helpful.

Thanks a million! Ann
