[Eurchap] *AoIR Workshop* Introduction to the joint ASIS&T EC-AoIR workshop

Dear ASIST&T European Chapter list subscribers.

This is to introduce the forthcoming joint workshop between your ASIST&T
European Chapter and the Association of Internet Researchers (AoIR). The
theme of the workshop centres around academic use of the web and the title
of the workshop is:

"The web as a mirror of scientific and technical achievements: issues in
access and measurement"

The venue will be the AoIR conference in Brighton, UK, on Sunday 19
September 9-12 noon. I think that this will be a very interesting workshop
and well worth attending. There is a lot of topics to debate and it will be
very exciting to see how academics from different disciplines are addressing
similar issues.

The collaboration between the AoIR and ASIS&T is part of a recognition of
common ground between the two organisations, and is a very welcome step.
