[Carolinas_asist] Celebrating Archives Event @ UNC - speaker Dr. Robert Martin

Join the School of Library & Information Science at UNC-CH for a special
event during American Archives Month (October) that celebrates a new
archives concentration; recognizes instructors, faculty and managers of
archive-related field experiences; and exposes students and others
interested to the various possibilities associated with archives and records
management. 

Several guest speakers will be on hand to share their insights about
archiving and Dr. Robert

'88), former director of the Institute of Museum and Library Services
<http://www.imls.gov/> and Lillian Bradshaw Endowed Chair at Texas
<http://www.twu.edu/>  Woman's University, will provide the keynote address.


The event will take place on Wednesday, October 8 from 1 to 4:30 p.m. in the
Family Pleasants Room of the Wilson <http://www.lib.unc.edu/wilson/>
Library.
