[Carolinas_asist] REMINDER: Meeting Thursday, September 20, 2007

This is a reminder that you are all invited to attend a discussion meeting
on September 20, 2007 from 4:30-5:30 p.m. at UNC-Chapel Hill.  The meeting
will be held at the School of Information and Library Science, Manning Hall,
rm. 208.



The goal of this meeting will be to determine whether or not we are
interested in forming a regional ASIS&T Chapter for the Carolinas.  If we
decide to go ahead with a "Carolinas Chapter", we will need to elect
temporary officers, form a slate for electing permanent officers, elect a
steering committee to write Chapter Bylaws, and sign a petition in favor of
forming a Carolinas Chapter.  This petition must be signed by at least 15
members in order for us to submit an appeal to ASIS&T Headquarters.

participating.  Also, feel free to email me with any questions or comments.
