[Asistregional] ASIST 1st Regional Program - date: 19 February

Hi Everyone,


   I heard back from a number of you - the preference for a date is Friday, 19 February.


   Now, we need to brainstorm on content:


- We have experts at Rutgers, Drexel, etc. we could tap;

- Our ASIST President, Nadia Caidi, can attend;

- What would students chapters want?

- Are there any SIGs who could present a panel or short workshop?


   Potential Structure for the day:


9:00-9:45am Arrival, checkin and social;

9:45-10:00am Introduction, speech by President Caidi;

10-12:00 Workshop - perhaps two, simultaneously

12-1 Lunch

1-2:30 Panel session/presentation 1

2:30-2:45 Break

2:45-4:15 Panel session/presentation 2

4:15-4:30 Wrap-up

5:00pm Dutch Treat Dinner for those who want to (or a couple of them, depending on the topics chosen.


    There could be two tracks for the whole day - 2 workshops in the morning (each a given track); plus two simultaneous presentations in the afternoon (for a total of 4 sessions).  One could be more scholarly, the other more practitioner - just passing along ideas for discussion.


    Obviously, we need to decide on the program soon, so we can begin publicity.
