Mark,

Me too, kind of worried about ISBN. Does this mean no more persistent efforts on ISBN and will just let it go? That will be a big impact. It might not look like another revision is needed soon but the duty is always there. Unless there is a clear take over by another group, I do not think it should be just let go.

For the TC46/SC9 Working Group 12, Indexes and Indexing, it will be good to have a convenor, of course. Drahomira Cupar seemed to be active in the field of knowledge organization.

Do you approve of the resolution disbanding SC9/WG4 ISBN?
Resolution proposed to disband SC9/WG4:

ISO/TC46/SC9 resolves to disband its Working Group (WG) 4, International Standard Book Numbering (ISBN) with the publication of ISO 2108, Information and documentation – International Standard Book Number (ISBN) and expresses its appreciation to Ms. Stella Griffiths for her expert leadership of its WG4 and the publication of ISO 2108.

PERSONAL OPINION - The rationale for this is the work on the ISBN has been completed so this working group is no longer needed - Im not sure I agree with that
