1)  ISO/CD 18461, Information and documentation - International museum
statistics


 

This is a ballot for the TC46/SC8 Committee Draft of ISO/CD 18461,
Information and documentation - International museum statistics.

This is a new standard that specifies rules for the museum community on the
collection and reporting of statistics for the purpose of strategic planning
and internal management of museums; for reporting to stakeholders such as
funding institutions, politicians, or the public; to promote the museums'
role and value for learning and research, education and culture, social and
economic life; and for comparing and aggregating results at a regional,
national or international level.

webpage and the announcement email.

Your voting options are:
Affirmative - approve for advancement to the DIS stage, comments optional
Negative - do not approve for advancement; comments required
Abstain - from voting; comments optional

2) Terms of reference for the maintenance of ISO 3166 Codes for the
representation of names of countries and their subdivisions


 

At the TC46 plenary meeting in Washington, DC on May 9, 2014, the following
resolution was approved:
RESOLUTION 2014-04: Revision of ISO 3166
ISO/TC 46 instructs the ISO 3166 MA to discuss potential changes to both the
ISO 3166 suite of standards as well as the terms of reference for the ISO
3166 MA and report back to TC 46 with recommendations about a potential NWIP
to revise these documents. Furthermore, ISO/TC 46 instructs the ISO 3166 MA
to report back to TC 46 on progress achieved by December 31, 2014.

The 3166 Maintenance Agency Secretary has submitted their proposed Terms of
Reference in support of this resolution for approval by TC46 prior to
submitting to the ISO Technical Management Board.

The proposed terms of reference document is available for download from the
ballot webpage or the link in the notification email.

Your vote options are:
YES - approve the proposed terms of reference (comments optional)
NO - do not approve (comments required)
