[Asis-standards] Reminder - Upcoming ISO votes

the following ISO documents are coming up for a vote soon:

1) ISO/CD 16439, Information and documentation — Methods and procedures 
for assessing the impact of libraries

This will be the first edition of a standard that defines terms for 
impact assessment of libraries and specifies methods for such assessment 
for the purpose of strategic planning and internal management of 
libraries; to facilitate comparison of library impact over time and 
between libraries of similar type and mission; to promote the libraries’ 
role and value for learning and research, education and culture, social 
and economic life; and to support political decisions on levels of 
service and strategic goals for libraries.

2) ISO/CD 11620, Information and documentation — Library performance 
indicators

This will be the third edition of the standard that specifies the 
requirements of a performance indicator for libraries and establishes a 
set of indicators to be used by libraries of all types. It also provides 
guidance on how to implement performance indicators in libraries where 
such indicators are not already in use.

3) ISO/DTR 14873, Information and documentation — Statistics and Quality 
Indicators for Web Archiving

This will be a new technical report to define statistical terms and 
quality criteria for Web archiving. It considers the needs and practices 
across a wide range of heritage and research organisations such as 
national and research libraries, archives, museums, research centres and 
heritage foundations

Note: Technically Im a member of this ISO group but since all the 
meeting have been in Berlin I havent really participated much

4)  New Work Item Proposal to Revise ISO 25577:2008 Information and 
documentation -- MarcXchange

The current edition of this international standard specifies the 
requirements for a generalized XML-based exchange format for
bibliographic records as well as other types of metadata. It describes a 
schema which is a generalized version of, and with as few changes as 
possible to, MARCXML but which retains the original MARCXML structure. 
The resulting schema is an XML extension to ISO 2709, Format for 
information exchange.

As you will note in the proposal document, a revision is proposed to add 
an option for including embedded data. (Note that if a revision project 
is initiated, additional changes beyond those proposed may be made by 
the working group.)

5) ISO/CD 17316, Information and documentation — International standard 
document link (ISDL)

This standard specifies the International standard document link (ISDL) 
identifier for the identification of links between objects. These 
objects may be media resources or more abstract items such as times or 
places.

Vote is to advance this to Draft International Standard status
